Our digestion is at it’s strongest in the morning and weakens as the day goes on. Generally, raw food is much harder to digest than cooked food.
Digestion-Boosting Weight-Loss Tip
Eat raw food before 4:30 p.m. Only eat cooked food after 4:30 p.m.
Since digestion starts out strong in the morning and is weaker later in the day, eat only cooked foods after 4:30 p.m. This helps ensure that good digestion can take place during the night and undigested food does not “rot” and cause uncomfortable bloating and gas. Eating cooked food at night could be the key to waking up with a flatter belly!
Keep dinner light, cooked and easy to digest. Think stir-fry instead of salad, for example (yes, salad is raw). Soup is the perfect cooked food to eat for dinner. Prepare your own pot of soup full of colorful vegetables, beans, and lentils or barley. Add some cooked protein if you want (chicken, beef, seafood, soy).
Make a pot of your own soup so you can control the quality of ingredients and the amount of sodium. Try eating healthy soup for dinner 3 to 4 nights a week and you will look and feel great in just a few weeks!
